History of the Healing School
On July 4th 1971, Rev. Prescod arrived in the United States as an immigrant with
$125.00 in his pocket and one change of under wear. He was unemployed during his
first three months in this country. All he could afford was to rent a one room apartment
on Amherst Street, in East Orange New Jersey.
On the 10th day of August 1971, at 4:30 in the morning Rev. Prescod cried out to God
for help! He poured his heart out to God, asking God to heal him from alcoholism. By
the grace of God he was supernaturally healed that very moment from that dreadful
disease of alcohol by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
As a minister of the Gospel, Rev. Prescod long carried a dream in his heart to help those
who are suffering from alcohol, pain and sickness the way he once suffered. He wanted
to have a place where the sick could come and have faith put in them.
While in prayer with his wife Carolyn in his family room on Monday, December 3, 2001
at 7:00 p.m. the day after he had the inaugural service of the Church of the Firstborn, the
Lord instructed him to start a Healing School. In obedience to the Lord, Rev. Prescod
started Healing School the very next day, December 4, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the
Sanctuary.
He started promptly at 11:00 a.m. The Church was empty. He preached to the pews.
At 11:20 a lady came in and sat at the back of the sanctuary. When it was over she left
without saying a word. She came each day for the rest of the week. That Friday the
lady said to him she is going home and clean her home.
Rev. Prescod was puzzled by this lady’s statement so he asked her to explain what she
meant. The lady said the doctors had given her 10 days to live, but as she was driving
down FM 78 something told her to come into the sanctuary, and while she was listening
to the Word of Faith on the subject of healing God healed her right there in the
Sanctuary.
From that 4th day of December 2001 to this day Rev. Prescod or one of our ministers
teaches the Word of God on the subject of Healing and Faith in our Healing School.
Countless people have received healing in their bodies and their faith is strengthened by
this ministry God has given us.
Healing School is held in our Faith Hall Monday through Thursday at 11:00 a.m. for one
hour. So we invite you to come and receive God’s best for your life. “… By His stripe
you were Healed.”(1Peter 2:24) “…Have Faith in God.” (Mark 11:22)
