Message: "A Mother's Day Letter"

 Greetings Everyone,

Happy Mother’s Day to all of God’s Beautiful People

From the beginning, it looked as though women were more of  trouble makers than helpers.  Eve was tempted to sin; and she sinned, but praise God the woman was given a place in God’s plan to redeem mankind.   Although she was deceived according to I Timothy 2:14 … “but the woman being deceived was in the transgression,” thank God He did not leave Eve there. Her name means “the mother of all living.”

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Gen 3:15

Today, we are living in a different era where mothers are challenged in all areas.  The stay-at-home mom sounds strange in some circles because of the transgressions of man’s heart and failing to yield to God. Some mothers are forced out of the home to work to supplement the income.  Twenty-five years ago this was not so. It was strictly up to the mother if she wanted to be a housewife.  Most men insisted their wives stay home to manage the home and nurture the children.  Although mothers are challenged, they can still be profitable in their marriages and households with God’s help.  God is the best time organizer there is, and we must put first things first.

For example, as the Bible says “We are to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” in raising our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Matt. 6:33). It will go well for all of us.  Training up our children in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from the things of God is the mother’s responsibility –we are our children’s first teacher (Prov. 22:6).   We can rest assured our children will be successful and bright because they are following God’s instructions for themselves.  A successful mother is precious in the eyes of Almighty God. She receives first class training from the greatest Teacher on the earth, and He is the Holy Spirit.

I encourage you to trust Him through God’s Word; He will propel you to the top in a place where we will not only help ourselves, but we can help and encourage others.  Let us meditate on the prayer below and receive rewards from our Heavenly Father.

St. Francis of Assisi prayed:

Lord, make me an instrument of peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, let me sow pardon; where there is doubt, let me sow faith; where there is despair, let me sow hope; where there is darkness, let me sow light; and where there is sadness, let me sow joy.
