Health Promised to Obedient Believers

God made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. There is no record of them dying with any type of sickness. God said to the children of Israel in Exodus 15:26 ….,”If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

Obedience requires trust. You have to trust the one you are expecting to help you. Israel were so filled with Egypt that it was easy for them to disobey God. In Exodus 23:25-26 “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” “There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.”

Here we have a covenant of healing and God said in Psalms 89:34 “My covenant will I not break nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” He will never break His covenant of healing. Israel had a special immunity, no plague, no sickness could over take them as long as they walked in obedience. Jeremiah 33:6 Behold I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

God our Father sent Jesus to bring us into this new covenant of healing and we to have a special immunity Paul said in Galatians 3:13-14 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. The blessing is the covenant, no one receives the blessing without being born into this covenant, and in this covenant is divine healing. We are redeemed covenant people. Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people zealous of good works.

Finally, the sign of the believer is recorded in Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Jesus took the sickness of the covenant believer and bore all our sins away. Healing starts on the inside the minute you believe the Word of God on healing, healing has begun, you cannot see it but the Word is working and the manifestation will follow if you will believe and not doubt. That is faith in action, knowing God cannot lie or deny Himself, His Word works every time we put it to work. Hook up with God in His Word and begin to walk in divine health in 2009.
