How to Grow in the God-kind of Love. Part 4

Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament Law and gave the New Testament Church one new commandment:

To Love

The Word of God instructs us how to fulfill this commandment and how to grow in the God-kind of love.

And the Lord make you to increase and abound IN LOVE one toward another, and toward all men, as we do toward you.

Glory to God everybody.  Thank God we can gather around the powerful Word of God today to study this marvelous subject:  “How To Grow In Love.”

Well, last week we studied the third thing we could do to grow in the God-kind of Love.  Today we will move on to Number four.  The Fourth thing we can do to make our Love Grow is “SPEAK WITH LOVE!”

1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Too many people speak wrong words.  They are critical of everybody and everything.  We need to be careful to speak the right words always.  Words are containers.  They are either filled with faith, hope, and mercy – or they are filled with hate, doubt, fear, and failure.

The words we speak can either cause a person to rise to his / her potential spiritually and naturally to become a success in life, or they can cause a person to fail.

If someone you know messes up and makes a big mistake, don’t fill your words with condemnation; fill them with love, compassion and mercy based upon the Word of God.  And with your words, take the time to usher that person back into fellowship with God and the body of Christ rather than rejecting him.

The Bible tells us to edify, encourage, and exhort each other.  If you want to grow in love you must SPEAK WITH LOVE.

 Number five:  The Fifth thing we can do to grow in love is you must LABOR IN LOVE.

3 Remembering without ceasing your WORK of faith, and LABOR OF LOVE, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

The person who fully understands love, will have faith that works and the kind of patience that always expects!

I will stop here for today, but we will continue next week.  Until then, this is your Pastor saying, “Have a Blessed Day!” Your Pastor
