And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Eph. 1:19-23, NKJV
The mightiest working of God’s power was when He raised Jesus Christ from the dead. This scripture is so powerful; it thrills me just to read it. No power has ever been demonstrated like it in the history of mankind. God not only raised Jesus, but He is seated far above any demon force that would come against us. They are defeated through His glorious resurrection. This is why we can call Jesus our Lord and Master because He conquered death and hell. He gave Himself freely for our full redemption. He is the only human that died and three days later was miraculously raised from the dead. God gave the world His only begotten Son so the world might be saved.
We serve a risen savior, the scriptures agree and bear witness that Christ died and was buried and rose again; “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.” I Cor. 15:3-5,20 KJV
All of the gospel writers agree that Jesus was raised from the dead, He was seen by them, He even ate food with them; “And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:36-48 KJV
Jesus Christ is the alive today and He lives for us in His heavenly position at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us continually, Heb 7:25 My life is secured in Him, there is no fear of failure, Jesus is our helper, He said He will never leave us nor forsake us, Heb 13:5-6 therefore we have no need to fear, He has proven Himself to be bigger and greater than all of our enemies. One thing the devil cannot deny is the resurrection and that marked his defeat forever.
