Simple Rules for Success Part 2

Everyone wants to be a success. Here are three simple yet Powerful rules that will help you Live a successful Christian Life.

Last week the Lord dropped this subject in my spirit.  It was a blessing to me.  So let’s go ahead and start part II, of this interesting series.  Many people ask this question over and over, “What is the secret to a successful Christian life?”  In this article I will share three Biblical rules to will help any Christian to become a success.

Last week we discussed the first rule in becoming a success.  That is “Forgiveness!”  Some of the Scriptures we used were taken from Matthew 18:21 and Luke chapter 17:4.

The Apostle Paul writing to the Church at Ephesus (and this letter belongs to the whole Church all over the world), said, “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:32).

Notice this verse says to kind.  Isn’t it strange that the Holy Ghost would have Paul write to Christians and tell them to be kind?  No, that isn’t strange at all.

You see, we are living in the flesh.  Have you ever noticed that the flesh doesn’t want to be kind?  The flesh has the attitude, You hit me, and I will hit you back, you talk about me, and I will talk about you.  You spit on me and I will spit on you.

But that’s the reason the Bible tells us to keep the flesh under.  Paul said, “…I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:  lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” (1 Cor. 9:27).

Remember, God wouldn’t tell us to do something we can’t do.  He would be unjust if He did, and we would have the right to challenge His justice.  So when the Bible says, “Be ye kind,” that means you can be kind.  “Be ye tenderhearted,” that means you can be tender hearted.  “Forgiving one another,” that means you can forgive others “…even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

How can we forgive even as God forgives?  The Bible says that God is love (1 John 4:8).  And the Bible says that the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Rom. 5:5).

The problem that most people have is that they have been going by their head and their flesh instead of by their heart.  The love of God has been shed abroad in your heart.  God has furnished the love you and I are to forgive with.

If you are a born again Christian, the love of God has been shed abroad in your heart!  You’ve got the love to forgive!  And to say you can’t forgive is to deny the Bible.  It’s saying the Bible isn’t true.  But, thank God, God is true, and His word is true!
