We are Ambassadors for Christ Part 1

Without question the Scripture is very clear in 2 Corinthians 5:20, we are AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, let's go ahead and read this opening of the Word of God. "Now then we are AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ stead, be ye reconciled to God." (KJV)

The Apostle Paul also commented on this subject in his letter to the Church in Ephesus saying:  For which I am an AMBASSADOR in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:20 (KJV)

THERE IS ONE QUESTION EVERY BORN AGAIN CHILD OF GOD SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANSWER IN A HEARTBEAT. THIS QUESTION COULD COST US OUR DESTINY AND OUR ETERNAL REWARD, IF LEFT UNANSWERED. THIS QUESTION COULD COST COUNTLESS SOULS THEIR ETERNAL LIVES.

WHAT IS YOUR MISSION?

Some might say, "Well, Pastor, that's a complicated question. It's a tough one to answer."

No, it's not. It's a simple, basic question. And those of us who want to be good soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ (2Timothy 2:3) have a right and a responsibility to know the answer to it. In the United States Army, every soldier knows his/her mission. I am positive, if you could go to Iraq or to Afghanistan and ask any soldier, from the general to the private what is their mission? They instantly would be able to tell us.

The mission is constantly on their minds. Everything each soldier does centers around the fulfilling of the mission.

A soldier assigned in a foreign land, don't get up in the morning wondering how he or she is going to entertain himself that day. He doesn't spend his time sightseeing. He isn't there to have a good time. He is there for a purpose, and his goal every day is to follow the orders of his commanding officer and do his part to accomplish that purpose.

In the same way every Christian has a purpose on this earth. Our heavenly Father "has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." (Colossians 1: 13 NKJ) But instead of transferring us immediately to our heavenly homeland, God left us on earth to fulfill His divine mission. What is that mission?

We are ambassadors of heaven, sent to penetrate the darkness with God's light. We are heavenly emissaries on a mission to bring those who have been estranged from God through sin back into harmony with Him through Christ Jesus our Lord. As 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 says, God" ... has reconcile us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST. "(NKJ)

Word of Today: "Making a Profit"

It is not a sin to profit.  As matter of fact God expects us to make a profit.  Read Matthew chapter 25 and Luke chapter 19, it is very clear according to these two parables God treats no profit as a sin.  If you are in business, you’ll be pleased to know God is not opposed to you making a profit.  In these same parables, Jesus called those servants that made a profit “Good and Faithful.” Go ahead and “Make a Profit,” God would be very please with you.
