Possessing

What God Has Given You!

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, WITH MEN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE; BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.   Matthew 19:26

Sometimes it may seem impossible to possess what God has promised you.  But the Word says, “That with God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!”  At times, there may be barriers in your life blocking your pathway to success.  So today, I want to continue to share with you some truths from the Word of God that will help you learn how to possess what God says is yours.

As I closed last time I was sharing that barriers don’t bother God and His plan for your life.  Let’s go ahead and read last week’s closing statement one more time.

My dearly beloved, take note of this point, impossible barriers never bother God.  We may let them affect us.  But they never bother God because nothing is impossible with Him.  If you’re a child of God, the power of God lives on the inside of you, so what may seem like an impossible barrier shouldn’t bother you either.  All things are possible to him that believeth.

Anytime you come up against what seems like an impossible barrier, you should immediately recognize it as just another opportunity for God to work.  It didn’t make any difference to God how deep or how wide the River of Jordan was.  He gave Israel a plan so that they could accomplish the impossible.

You have a plan written in the Word of God whereby you, too, can accomplish the impossible.   God’s Word contains His plan and His promises, but it’s up to you to follow His plan and take possession of what belongs to you.

Always remember this, Faith Takes Possession Of The Promises Of God.

The Lord told Joshua, “Instruct the Priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant to step into the river it will stand up in a heap.”  Naturally speaking this plan didn’t make any sense.  It doesn’t make sense to think that if you start walking into a river, the water will stand up as walls on either side of you.

The Bible tells us in Joshua 3:15 that the Jordan’s water was at flood stage at this time.  In the natural, we know that if we wade into waters too deep for us to stand, we could drown.  But when waters are at flood stage, very often the river’s current is strong enough to pull you under and sweep you down the river.

You may feel overwhelmed by the circumstances of life, and it may seem as though the circumstances are like a raging flood trying to sweep you into the current and destroy you.  You may feel as though you are hanging on for dear life.

No matter what it feels like, remember that we don’t walk by feelings or by sight.  We walk by what we believe.  So keep on believing the Word of God and the promises it contains.  God can make the impossible possible!

I will continue this lesson next week, but until then, go ahead, and POSSESS YOUR PROMISED LAND.

Word for Today: He Prayed for Them

There is a remarkable passage of Scripture in the seventeenth Chapter of the Gospel of John in which Jesus vividly demonstrates one of the most powerful leadership secrets.  He prayed for His followers.  Whether you are the leader of a ministry, a parent, or a supervisor there is one thing that you can do that will greatly impact your organization in a positive way, that is “Pray for Them.”  It will change everything for the better.
